PCAOB
Public Company Accounting Oversight Board — US regulator of public company auditors.
The PCAOB was created by SOX in 2002 to supervise auditors of US-listed companies. It establishes auditing (AS), ethics, and quality control standards. AS2201 governs the integrated audit of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). The PCAOB conducts regular inspections of audit firms and publishes its findings.
