The auditor's formal conclusion on the adequacy of the control system examined.
The audit opinion is the conclusion of the audit team at the end of an engagement. Internal audit opinions include: satisfactory, partially satisfactory, unsatisfactory. External audit opinions include: unqualified, qualified, adverse, or disclaimer of opinion.
