For internal audit, opinions include: satisfactory, partially satisfactory, unsatisfactory (terminology varies). For external audit (per ISA/PCAOB), opinions include: unqualified (clean), qualified, adverse, or disclaimer of opinion. The opinion is the key deliverable of an audit report and engages the professional responsibility of the auditor. It must be supported by sufficient and appropriate evidence.
