CIA Certification
Certified Internal Auditor — the only global internal audit certification issued by the IIA.
The CIA credential is recognized in over 170 countries. It consists of 3 parts: Part 1 (Essentials of Internal Auditing), Part 2 (Internal Audit Practice), Part 3 (Business Knowledge for Internal Auditing). It is the gold standard for internal audit professionals worldwide. The global first-attempt pass rate is approximately 42%. Candidates using adaptive preparation programs achieve up to 78% first-attempt pass rates. The CIA is increasingly required for CAE and Director of Internal Audit positions.
